This external optical, SCSI drive ships along with the SCSI terminator, blank MO disk, driver software for various platforms and documentation. The installation of the drive is simple with Windows automatically detecting the drive. The drive gave excellent data transfer rates with 1379 Kbps for random read, though the 759 Kbps for random write was a bit on the lower side.
In our real-life test, the drive took 28 seconds to transfer the test file of 30 MB. For transferring the 30 MB test folder, it took 26 seconds. The drive is good for running applications from the disk as it took just five seconds to open the test Photoshop file. This drive, targeted at users of high-end applications, can be a good buy for people working in niche segments such as graphic studios.
